This winter has been brutal to the east coast…and it’s not over yet.

While staying inside might be tempting, it can lead to a serious case of cabin fever. What is there to do in winter time though?

Well, we’re glad you asked. Bergen County moving company, Harrington Moving and Storage, has compiled a list of things to do.

New Jersey Devil

  • Library Events- Many libraries are starting to host movie nights.  Mahwah Public library hosts a Thursday morning movie and a gaming club every week.  If you are looking for something more active, join them for Drop In Yoga on Mondays.  Ridgefield Park Public Library also hosts movie nights on Thursdays or catch Waldwick Library’s Classic Film Series.
  • Valentine’s Day- With an upcoming holiday, there are many activities surrounding this joyous occasion. From craft days for kids to elegant evenings out for adults, there is an event for every age and type of celebration.
  • Shows- Kathy Griffin will be performing tonight at the bergenPAC. Maybe catch a concert at the NJ PAC or bergenPAC.  Upcoming concerts include The Whispers and The Manhattans, Shaggy with Maxi Priest and Sanchez, Marc Anthony, and Chris Brown with Trey Songz. For those who enjoy dance performance, catch one of The Winters Tale shows performed by the Royal Ballet.
  • Sports- From hockey to basketball, there are several sporting events coming up.  Women’s and men’s college basketball games are occurring this weekend.  The New Jersey Devils have six homes games coming up.

Bergen County has so much going on despite the blistery cold.  Bundle up and get out there.  Join the community, catch a show or game.  Just get out there and enjoy everything that this great county has to offer!
